Telefonica said it obtained first place in Europe and America and second place worldwide in the Digital Inclusion Benchmark (DIB), which assesses how companies help to promote a more inclusive digital economy and society.
To prepare young people for the jobs of the future in spite of the digital divide, we must deploy no-tech as well as hi-tech educational methods. We must reduce our focus on high-stakes exams and replace them with fairer forms of assessment. Young people must be empowered with adaptable skills and financial resources.

Speaking at the IIF Digital Interchange meeting, BBVA Group Executive Chairman Carlos Torres Vila said that the lockdown as a result of the pandemic boosted pre-existing trends toward the adoption of new technologies, towards digital. In his opinion, digital inclusion supports all types of inclusion: educational, social, and economic.
Research shows that inclusive workplaces are six times more likely to be innovative and twice as likely to meet or surpass financial goals.
